Dear Cousin Bobby,
Thank you for your comments… I remember you and Ilene always being so funny and silly, having a great time whenever we were all together!!

Forgiving someone’s evil behavior is not about condoning or accepting anything that a person has done. Forgiveness is about removing the burden in our own hearts – removing the hatred and anger that can build up year after year and destroy us…for me, I forgive to be free of the pain.

I know you miss Ilene- we all do!!

Debbie, Well said. Thank you very much for commenting. Somany women (and men) who have been abused have been emotionally demeaned for years. They have been told literally and figuratively that they’re “not worth it” for years that they believe it themselves. That just adds to the stack of resaons why they don’t seek help. They don’t think they’re worth it. You are so right to remind people to look for the early warning signs and not to be dupped by sweetness and charm. My own mother was swept off her feet by a man after she and my fathe divorced. By the time she figured out why he was in such a rush she was pulled under the quicksand of his power.
